Anthony Dittmann graduated from San Diego State University in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. Following graduation, Anthony worked for the San Diego Chargers until 1998. After the NFL, he worked for ESPN in several capacities, all involving the design, construction and management of ESPN-owned events including the ESPY Awards and culminating as the Director of Operations and Event Director for X Games in Los Angeles, Barcelona, Aspen and Tignes, France. Since the X Games, Dittmann has produced events for NBC Sports and The Enthusiast Network before ultimately starting Kilowatt Events with several colleagues.
Anthony also spent several years as an adjunct professor in the Sport Business Graduate Program at California State University, Long Beach and the University of San Francisco.
Jenn Marks | Director of Business + Event Operations
Jenn Marks graduated from University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management. Following graduation, Jenn followed her lifelong dream to move to California and relocated to San Diego where she worked for 7 years at Destination Concepts, Inc. as an Operations Manager. She soon transitioned to leading the organization's operations department as Account Director and successfully executed millions of dollars of events annually.
In 2013, Jenn moved to Los Angeles and freelanced until joining the Kilowatt Team in 2016. Her client list includes: Victoria’s Secret, H-P, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Red Bull Air Race, Chrysler, ESPN, Pac-12 Football and Basketball Championships, the BNP Paribas Open, & the LA Clippers. Jenn joined the Kilowatt Events team in 2016 as the Director of Business and Event Operations. She is dedicated to building a strong, service-oriented team that is driven to creating the best client and guest experience possible.
Brett Blumberg | Sales + Sustainability Manager
Since helping KWE launch Kilowatt One, Brett has used his environmental engineering background and MBA to add business value for our clients that is integrated with positive social and environmental impact. Through research, community building, and technical design, Brett is able to address local needs with a vision of global sustainable development in an effort to leave lasting legacies for our host communities.
Brett was recently honored as one of 2018’s “Most Innovative People in Events” for his work in developing the Kilowatt One division. He holds certifications and accreditations in Permaculture Design, LEED, the Sustainable Event Alliance, and has been a part of several panels on sustainable production and sport.
Laura Furney-Howe | Operations Manager
Originally from Northern California, Laura relocated to Los Angeles and began a career in event management that is incredibly diversified. She worked for the Wide Angle Group producing events for the Ball Up basketball league and many others all over the world. Howe has also worked with the Deutsch Agency creating and executing brand events for Target and Taco Bell. Her childhood was spent traveling and growing up in international destinations, an experience that has made her an excellent communicator both as an employee and a representative for Fortune 500 Brands.
Brian Kappel | Creative Services
Brian Kappel graduated from Penn State University in 1998 with a degree in Visual Arts, specializing in drawing and painting. After graduating, Brian worked as an apparel graphic designer for NIKE, and during that time he began refining his work as a conceptual designer. Over the next 15 years, Brian worked in the agency world as a Creative Director and Design Lead. From retail design to customization and event ideation, Brian has brought his passion for design and his drive for unique experiences to each project he works on.
Brian is also an active artist, exhibiting at galleries across the country as well as constantly tinkering with new materials and new ideas. Brian also has several shops in Portland, Oregon that carry his graphic tees and paintings.
